SAO PAULO — Vivara, the largest jewelry chain of Brazil, has signed an agreement with IBM Brazil for information technology (IT) maintenance and management of its 107 stores spread across all of Brazil. In order to ensure equipment availability, IBM will handle all of the technical support, including on-site and remote service, part replacement and third party contract management.

In addition, IBM will be responsible for making these services more efficient and intelligent, enabling Vivara to offer a more dynamic service to its customers. With the partnership, Vivara will also benefit from the reduction of IT operational costs.

The contract was signed in September 2009.
