The IBM and Cisco SIP Proxy Server for IP Telephony Solution enables service providers to build scalable, reliable packet-voice networks today. Based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the Cisco SIP Proxy Server provides a full array of call-routing capabilities to maximize network performance in both small and large packet-voice networks. IBM's x335 is the recommended Linux-based server for the CSPS application, and has passed all Cisco testing and certification.
The Cisco SIP Proxy Server delivers high-performance call processing, enabling service providers to quickly and reliably deploy large-scale packet-voice networks. It can support a variety of different SIP server functions, including Redirect Server, transaction stateful or stateless Proxy Server, and Registrar.
