When included with the purchase of the x3950 (7141 - 1SX, 3SX and 4SX) server - which is designed to be installed by you - the Support Line for System x startup support ServicePac component provides:

  • A fixed-price, 90-day service bundle
  • Remote, telephone-based basic installation and configuration support for the x3950 server and network operating system
  • Service Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in your local time zone
  • A competitively-pricing startup support option
  • Answers to questions about setup and configuration, including scalable features
  • Launch of the Microsoft Windows or Linux operating system (excluding VMware and IBM Director) on the System x server
  • Assistance with installation of System x options
  • Assistance with analyzing failures to help ensure that hardware in operating fault-free or with returning the machine to factory default settings
