Fastlane includes several integral elements:

• Project Management : Comprehensive processes and templates for all critical areas including Project Initiation, Project Planning, Scope Management, Issues Management and Resolution, Knowledge Management and Reuse, Communication Planning, Customer Relations, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Project Reporting
• Infrastructure Rollout : Based on documented reference builds, we validate the necessary hardware requirements and perform a gap analysis to determine acquisition and installation timeline for configuring, racking of hardware, connecting to storage area network, and setting up VLANs
• Change Management : During the course of a fit/gap analysis, IBM works with you to document how changes to business process will affect end users or data flow, and recommend suggested courses of action. During the course of implementation development and rollout, changes to the actual system are addressed. We have developed a systematic change management plan to help facilitate order requests, assessment, approval and performance of the changes. By integrating these documented best practice procedures, the implementation or upgrade is designed to be delivered quickly and effectively.
• Knowledge Management, sharing and collaboration : At the foundation of FastLane is our knowledge repository of best practice software configurations, reference builds and processes. IBM has made significant investments in standardization, documentation and reapplication help to streamline implementations and upgrades for you. All deliverables and documentation will be managed by our knowledge management tool, which is accessed via iSRVCE . All deliverables as well as communications such as status reports, issues lists, and team procedures are stored with capabilities for document version control routing, linking, and team broadcasts as required.
