Summary

Today, we find that many companies are struggling to address changing workforce demographics and the impact of those changes on their organizations. In this interview, Eric Lesser, an associate partner in IBM's Institute For Business Value, talks with Mary Kay Vona, global learning leader for the HCM practice, about a recent study conducted by IBM and the American Society for Training and Development on the impact of changing workforce demographics on the learning function.

The interview includes a discussion of how organizations can preserve critical knowledge before it walks out the door, challenges associated with older workers, and where learning executives should focus their time and attention to help their organizations deal with changing workforce demographics.
