 Business need Facing stringent new requirements to protect credit card and other e-payment information, IBM Canada needed to implement measures to protect the privacy of customer data. |
 Solution IBM Global Business Services designed and implemented a comprehensive solution using IBM's Integrated Cryptographic Service Facility (ICSF) and IBM's Cryptographic Coprocessor Feature (CCF), as well as the Data Encryption for IMS and DB2 Databases tool to support the OS/390 platform, and facilities in Windows 2000 and Lotus Notes to support PC applications. |
 Results The project enables IBM to comply with both internal and government regulations. IBM's customers can be confident that their data is protected when in use and is properly disposed of when it is no longer required. |
