Financial management

Drive enterprise-wide profit improvement and shareholder value and effectively manage risk and opportunity to create a finance-on-demand organization that is responsive and resilient

Overview

Supporting/managing/mitigating enterprise risk, and driving information integration across the enterprise. What do both of these financial management agenda items have in common? Unfortunately, these were both ranked lowest in importance on the 2008 Global CFO Study. Yet they are key differentiators for outperformers in revenue and stock price growth.

The components of good governance, including common data definitions, standard Chart of Accounts, standard common processes, and globally mandated standards, are all drivers of information integration. Yet fewer than one in seven enterprises govern and manage by these criteria. Integrated Finance Organizations (IFOs) incorporate these into their enterprises and have revenue growth rates nearly double that of their industry peers. Why? Because they are more prepared for and aware of risk.

Our Financial Management practice has a history of helping CFOs and finance organizations design and implement the financial processes and underlying technologies required to overcome today's most complex business challenges. We help clients better integrate process, technology and information to:

  • Drive enterprise-wide profit improvement and shareholder value
  • Create a "finance on demand" organization that is responsive, variable, focused and resilient
  • Reduce the cost of finance through efficient transaction processing
  • Provide decision makers at all levels with the right information, when and where they need it
  • Effectively manage risk and opportunity
