GERS consists of three components:

• Traveler interface. Enables Web-based submission, approval and audit of T&E expense reports, automated validation of cost codes and policies, integrated posting of corporate card transactions, automated payment to card providers and employees, and mobile expense approval (BlackBerry®/Palm® TreoTM)
• System administrator interface. Supports the creation, dissemination, audit and maintenance of business rules at the company, country, organization and payment center levels across the enterprise.
• Business intelligence toolset. Provides a suite of comprehensive data analytics tools that creates reports based on expense data for more effective vendor sourcing, more visibility for budgeting/forecasting, and helps expose fraudulent activity
