Evaluation criteria
In creating the evaluation criteria for this review, Forrester considered various sources of information, including past research, user need assessments, and expert interviews. They also closely reviewed the previous Forrester Wave. From this, the analyst firm developed a comprehensive set of 42 evaluation criteria, which they grouped into three domains:
- Current offering - To assess service strength, Forrester evaluated each offering using four sets of criteria: client feedback, delivery capability (which included geographic footprint and consultant experience levels), consulting service offerings and technology partnerships.
- Strategy - The analyst firm considered how each vendor planned to enhance its services portfolio to meet future demands from clients. Service providers were measured according to the investments they were making to support their strategy in terms of research and development, staff education and training, and the expansion of geographic coverage. Forrester also considered the value proposition they could offer to clients.
- Market presence - To rate each vendor’s market presence, the analyst firm combined information about their customer base, growth rates and revenues.
