At its London Analytics Solution Centre, IBM will apply advanced analytics to help organisations in financial services, government and industry see patterns in vast amounts of data and extract actionable business insights from them.
The London centre will be the focal point for a UK & Ireland analytics team that will number 400 consultants, software specialists and mathematicians at the outset and is expected to double in size during the next few years. In all IBM expects to retrain or hire as many as 4,000 new analytics consultants and professionals globally.
The London centre will have access to IBM’s comprehensive Information Management portfolio that includes technologies integrated following the acquisitions of Cognos, iLog and SPSS.
During 2009, IBM has announced six other analytics solution centres in Berlin, Beijing, Dallas, Tokyo, New York and Washington, D.C.
