While in an ideal world machine translation (MT) would translate seamlessly and instantly between languages, technology has not yet caught up with our needs. Thus, to understand how companies currently are addressing language translation related to knowledge management, the IBM Institute for Business Value conducted over 20 in-depth interviews with a cross-section of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. The interviews explored how these organisations overcame language barriers by using a combination of technology and human solutions. |
