Golden Peacock Environment Management Award – 2010
IBM Global Process Services (formerly IBM Daksh) has been selected for a 'Special Commendation' for the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award for the year 2010 by the Golden Peacock Awards Jury under the chairmanship of Justice P.N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice and Member of the UN Human Rights Commission.
The commendation was presented at a special ceremony on July 30th during the Valedictory Session of the Global Summit for Sustainability at the National Liberal Club, Whitehall Palace in London. It recognises the progress made by IBM Global Process Services (formerly IBM Daksh) to promote sustainable development in the ITES sector in India.
The Golden Peacock Awards was instituted in 1991 and is bestowed annually on companies which demonstrate a commitment to excellence in particular spheres through the adoption of best in class practices.
