Albert Opher is a Global Managing Partner in IBM Global Business Services (GBS). Al runs the Digital Operations business within Business Analytics & Strategy. The Digital Operations practice assists clients in analytics led, technology enabled, digital transformations using the Internet of Things, Predictive Analytics, Supply Chain and Asset Optimization, and, Smarter Process, and Smarter Infrastructure. IBM utilizes its strategic services and market intelligence, presence, partnerships and ecosystem and its relevance in the IoT domain to structure with clients the most effective architecture and roadmap for success. The business includes strategy and analytics professionals with deep experience in operations.

Al also leads the Internet of Things Services Business for IBM. As part of the overall $3B investment IBM is making in Internet of Things, IoT services provide clients strategy and implementation services including IoT strategy, architecture, ecosystem opportunities and aftermarket solution services. The IoT services business also deploys industry specific solutions including Connected Product, Connected Vehicle, Connected Building, Connected Patient, and Connected Factory.
Al's career has focused on delivering transformational client solutions. He integrates capabilities across consulting, application and business process outsourcing, analytics and cloud software, mobility and IoT into transformational solutions. Previously, Al was a member of the IBM GBS North America Leadership Team with accountability for driving major transformational client opportunities. Prior to that, he was Managing Partner of the IBM GBS Communications Sector and SAP leader for the Industrial Sector.
