Service detail Highlights  |  |  | Facilitate a migration planning session to discuss: the current computing environment, your expectations for the system, hardware and software configurations for the planned system, the final system configuration definition and the planed methodology for the migration of AIX® on logical partitions (LPARs) |
 |  |  | Migrate AIX on existing LPARs on your system including: prepare the specified LPARs for migration, prepare the network installation management (NIM) server (if using this methodology for AIX migration), upgrade the specified LPARs to a supported level of AIX, using either the NIM environment method or the direct migration install method |
 |  |  | Create and install additional LPARs on your system including: partition the hardware for the new LPARs, make updates to the NIM environment, if applicable, install AIX on the new LPARs |
 |  |  | Verify that the AIX operating system software functions properly on the specified LPARs |
 |  |  | Assist in creating a system image backup of the specified LPARs following the migration tasks and provide basic skills instruction for up to two of your designated personnel on the migration tasks IBM performs during these services |
