Samarinda Aged Services provides fully accredited, not-for-profit residential aged care and dementia day respite. In the residential facility, forty residential places are provided in an ageing in place environment, Samarinda Lodge has improved communication between staff and residents by working with IBM to implement Vocera, a hands-free, voice-based communications solution.
Samarinda Aged Services commissioned the Impact Consulting Group to formally evaluate the technology initiative, to establish the benefits to the operational environment in which services to residents are provided. The purpose of the project was to evaluate the degree of innovation that has been implemented through the Integrated Hands-Free Communications.
